Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer remains embroiled in a two week investigation
into what he knew about the domestic abuse allegations against his former
wide receivers coach Zach Smith. He has been on administrative leave since
the beginning of August.
“Ohio State is committed to a thorough and complete investigation,”
Jo Ann Davidson, chair of the working group and former Ohio House Speaker,
said in a statement released by the school. “We look forward to
sharing the results of this investigation and any action the university
may take.”

Koffel Brininger Nesbitt is representing Zach Smith, who was charged with criminal
trespassing after dropping his son off at his ex-wife’s apartment
earlier this year, and was later charged with domestic abuse.
“He’s just beside himself,” attorney Brad Koffel said in an
interview aired on WTVN in July. “He didn’t do anything illegal, and now it’s
coming out that he’s some sort of wife-beater, trespasser, whatever.
The inferences being drawn from the headlines are horrible.”
