Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized approximately $800,000 worth
of heroin after a traffic stop on Friday, September 28 in Madison County.
The driver was pulled over at 1:15 p.m. on Interstate 70 after failing
to signal a lane change. After the troopers observed criminal indicators,
a drug-sniffing canine was brought in, leading to a probable cause search
which revealed more than four pounds of heroin.

The driver, a 20-year-old man from Oxnard, CA was driving a 2018 Kia Forte
with Florida registration, and was charged with possession of heroin,
a first-degree felony that could lead to a $20,000 fine and up to 11 years
in prison. He is currently being held in the Tri-County Jail.
